HOW SUPPLYING LAW CAME INTO EXISTENCE
Paris Anderson left Richmond, Virginia in 2012 to travel to Washington, D.C. for the purpose of attending law school at David A. Clarke School of Law. Prior to beginning law school in 2012, Paris decided to give back to the individuals in her hometown by organizing a school supply drive for one of her elementary schools. She, with the help of her mother, gathered funds and supplies and delivered them to Summer Hill Elementary School. In 2013, she repeated the same efforts, but this time, the supplies were delivered to Beulah Elementary School. In 2014 and 2015, due to the demands of law school, Paris was unable to conduct a school supply drive.
Now, after graduating from law school and obtaining her Virginia bar license, Paris has all the tools and time she needs to continue giving back to the community that raised her. In addition to supplying students with school items, Paris intends to teach them about law. Recently she has been in contact with several Virginia agencies in order to compile information on the specific rights possessed by Virginians.
Although not yet presenting to students, she intends to sift through all of the information she has collected and deliver it to any student who is willing to listen. As for now, she is fundraising and bringing awareness of the law to the younger generation so that they may be equipped with the tools to ensure that they are being treated fairly. Paris hopes to begin presenting to students in Fall 2017 when her vision for Supplying Law will come to absolute fruition.
